Little Town Lyrics

lostbysuicide.com

Little Town was written about the small town in NE Wisconsin where Jeannine and I spent many of our childhood years.  We both had a desire to leave that little town one day.  She eventually left Wisconsin for New York City, where she had many adventures and achieved great things in her life. Here are the lyrics to the song I wrote to commemorate the dreams of our younger years.

Little Town

Sidewalks, side talks

Everyone wants what they ain't got

Bad dream, slow scream

Stuck in the middle of in-between

Small town

You're dragging me down

We're wandering 'round

This little town

Not knowing where we're going

We're chasing a dream

Nobody's seen

And nobody knows when we'll ask:

"Is this all there is to life?"

I gotta get out sometime

Of this little town of mine

It's time, don't mind

All of the fruit on the grapevine

Set sail, strong gale

Run out of town on a sweet rail

Small town

where are you now?

We're wandering 'round

This little town

Not knowing where we're going

We're chasing a dream

Nobody's seen

And nobody knows when we'll ask:

"Is this all there is to life?"

I gotta get out sometime

Of this little town of mine

Nobody knows

Nobody mows the grass

That is growing right where we are standing

We're wandering 'round

This little town

Not knowing where we're going

We're chasing a dream

Nobody's seen

And nobody knows when we'll ask:

"Is this all there is to life?"

I gotta get out sometime

Of this little town of mine
